Position Description

Bark Frameworks, an employee-owned, custom framing and art services company in Long Island City that has been leading the industry since 1969, seeks a qualified candidate to work in our Art Preservation Department. Checking artwork, fitting artwork into frames, backing frames, helping with supplies, and doing quality control are key parts to this role.

Please note: This position is full time and reports Monday – Friday to our shop in Long Island City. This is not a remote position.

Requirements

  • Experience fitting artwork into frames
  • Strong knowledge of art preservation skill sets
  • Willingness to put in additional work hours if needed
  • A passion for working to the absolute highest industry standards
  • Flexibility in assisting other departments as needed (training provided)
  • Must be able to lift 40 – 50 lbs (supplies)
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude / desire to learn
  • Team player and excellent communicator
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and be able to provide proof  of such upon hiring.

Compensation
